A transgender man in Australia was humiliated after he was ordered to remove his manhood at an airport.
The unidentified man told reporters that the body scan alerted security personnel to the prosthesis that he was wearing.
He tried explaining he was a transgender but he was asked to undergo a body search. He said: “I explained to the officer that I am transgender and that I was wearing a prosthesis.”
He was searched and was given the all clear signal. He was then told that he can put the prosthetic device back on, but in the presence of two security officers.
The transgender felt humiliated and said “the private search was demeaning and unnecessary.”
