NEMA DG Accused Of Corruption
Anything goes in Nigeria sha, The Director-General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Muhammad Sani Sidi, is being accused of corruption and mismanagement of resources by a cross section of Nigerians. This is because the conditions on many of Nigeria’s camps for the internally-displaced people are worse than deplorable. Millions of Nigerians are internally-displaced especially from the Boko Haram insurgency in the northeastern flank of the country.
NEMA is saddled with the responsibility of seeing to the welfare of the IDPs and it manages 36 IDP camps in the northeast states, with 18 in Borno, 5 in Yobe and 13 in Adamawa State, there are also others in Abuja with one close Dunamis Church at the market in Area 1 and another one at Durumi. I just hope this allegation is false.
